The growing aviation market contributes significantly to economic growth but inevitably brings environmental challenges, particularly noise. Noise is one of aircraft and airport operations' most severe environmental challenges worldwide. The balanced approach introduced by ICAO in 2001 is considered the best way to meet the challenge of aircraft noise. The balanced approach was determined by considering four aspects: noise reduction at source; land use planning and management; noise abatement procedures; operational restrictions. Although the balanced approach has significantly improved the impact of aircraft noise, a significant portion of the world's population is still affected by aircraft noise due to the continued development of the aviation industry and the concentration of people around airports. The AEADs team is researching aircraft noise. Please look forward to it.
